The funeral for Gladys Sarsfield, 89, of 508 Park St. will be private. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Sarsfield died Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past five years.
Born Jan. 23, 1910, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Leon and Marquerite Gay Rebideau, she attended local schools.
A marriage to W. Wallace Sarsfield ended in divorce.
Mrs. Sarsfield worked in area silk mills and later became a child-care provider.
Mrs. Sarsfield enjoyed playing bridge, knitting and shopping.
Surviving are a son, a sister, nine grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
A daughter, Stephanie Lee Field, and a brother, Ortin Lee Rebideau, died before her.
