Stella Sterna was the daughter of John Sterna and Martha Wysorgorski.

She married Walter Gambish abt 1915.

Stella died in enroute to the Amherst Hospital in Amherst, OH and was buried 30 Jan 1979.

AMHERST - Stella L Kreiser (nee Gambish), 85, of Amherst, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain.

She was born Sept, 1, 1920. and was a lifelong resident of Amherst.

She graduated from Amherst High School in 1939.

Mrs. Kreiser was employed as an assembler at Western Automatic (Moen) in Elyria during the 1940s and 1950s, worked as a kitchen aide for the Amherst Public Schools from 1971 to 1977 and from 1877 to 1982, was an assembler at the former Gilford Instrument Laboratories in Oberlin.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst, and a former member of Senior Citizens of Amherst. She enjoyed day trips, bird feeding and watching Speedivision, especially lawnmower races.

Survivors include her son, Thomas A. Kreiser of Twinsburg; sister, Susan Stec of Amherst; brother, Edward Gambish of Amherst; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Eugene H. Kreiser, in 1970; her parents, Mary (nee Kapucinski) in 1987 and John Gambish in 1960; brother, Stanley Gambish, in 1988; and sister, Jeanne Jacopin, in 1996.

Friends may call Sunday, 6 to 9 p.m., at Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Ave., Amherst. Prayers there Monday at 9:30 a.m. will be followed at 10 a.m. by Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive. The Rev. Lawrence Martelio, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Stella Gambish was sister to John Sterna, not daughter as listed. John and Martha did have a daughter named Stella but her name was Stella Mary Sterna Moore (died 1995)
