Erseltine M. Reid, 83, Palermo, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Reid was a secretary for the Augsbury Corp. for several years.
Born Sept. 22, 1919, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Emery and Anna Dempsey Ferguson, she attended Ogdensburg Free Academy.
A marriage to Ivan S. Reid ended in divorce.
She was an avid reader and seamstress and had made stage costumes for the Dumas Dance Studio. She also enjoyed playing cards.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, a sister, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Two infant brothers died before her.
A memorial service will be at a time to be announced at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
