GLEN ST. MARY, Fla. - Funeral for Sharon Ruise, 57, Glen St. Mary, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christian Fellowship Temple, 251 W. Ohio Ave., Macclenny, Fla., with Joe N. Ruise, elder, and Samuel P. Nesbitt, bishop, officiating.

Mrs. Ruise died Wednesday, June 3, 2009.

Burial will be in Quitman Cemetery, Sanderson, Fla., under direction of Cooper Funeral Home Lake City, Fla.

She was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and lived in Lawton until she married Joe N. Ruise, and moved to Glen St. Mary, Fla. in 1973, where she made her home. She became a member of Emmanuel Church of God In Christ in Macclenny, Fla., and later became the first lady of the church when her husband was appointed pastor.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nicolette A. Ruise; three sons and a daughter-in-law: Jonathan Ruise, Vernon O. Ruise and Roosevelt and Angel Ruise; 14 grandchildren; her mother, Naomi L. Cross, Lawton; two sisters: Naomi A. Cross and Elizabeth Cross, Lawton; and four brothers: Jessie Cross, Michael Cross, Lawton; Cornelius Cross and Benjamin Cross.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Johnathon.

Friends may call at 6 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Church of God in Christ.
