Mrs. Gilbert was born Dec. 1, 1905 in Shelby County and died April 19 in a Lufkin hospital. She was a charter member of Redland Methodist Church and was a retired secretary. She lived in Lufkin most of her life.
Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Delores Gilbert of Lufkin; brothers, Bennis Franks of Diboll, Lawrence Franks of Nacogdoches and Bernard Franks of Garrison; sisters Annie B. Franks of Garrison, Florence Williams of Garrison and Rita Ramsey of Diboll; grandchildren, Belina Lee Villareal of Houston, Judy Lenray Gilbert of Lufkin, and Learea Lynn Paulsey of Kingwood; and eight great grandchildren.
