Son of Isham Dalton and Elizabeth G Lyle Dalton.
Served White's 4th Regiment, Georgia Cavalry. Married to Nancy Lavenia Lyle 3 Nov 1864 in Coweta County, Georgia. Found in 1870 census living in Coweta County and in 1880 census living in Chattooga County, Georgia. Moved to Camp County, Texas and found there in 1900-1920 census records.

According to his Texas death certificate, his date of death is Jan. 1, 1924. However, note that the headstone erroneously lists it as Jan. 1, 1923.
