Gayle Mateel McCullough Brown, 90, southwest Kansas City, died Jan. 12, 1995, at the home. Private burial will be at the Lancaster (Kan.) Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Kansas City.

Mrs. Brown was born in Lancaster and lived in Atchison, Kan., and Lawrence before moving to this area in 1929. She was a bacteriologist for Jensen-Salsbery Laboratories until 1942. She attended Baker University and the University of Kansas. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority and the United Methodist Women.

Her husband of 53 years, M. Dwight Brown, died Oct. 2, 1994.

Survivors include a son, Marshall D. Brown, Jr., Kansas City; two daughters, Mateel Hoppe, New York City, and Vicky Baroukh, Islamorada, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Arrangements: Mount Moriah & Freeman)
