Just a few hours after the funeral of his son, Edward Green, who died on December 28, 1915, Mr. Jacob Green died in his home at 1045 Argyle Avenue. Edward had been ill for just three days. The elder Mr. Green had been in ill health for quite some time. At the funeral service, Rev Virgil officiated, at St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church. Burial was in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. His surviving children are Mrs. Ella Burgess, Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, Miss Hattie Green, James, Charkes and John Green.
