John Alan Prosak age 49, of Amherst, Ohio died suddenly at University Hospital of Cleveland on May 15, 2009 suddenly after a brief illness.

John was born March 31, 1960 in Lorain, Ohio. He was a 1978 graduate of Lorain High School. In 1982, John graduated with a Bachelor of science Degree from Bowling Green State University.His proffesional career in software engineering and management included employment with the national Security Agency, Cib Corning Diagnostics of Oberlin, Accelent of Akron, and Imalux of Cleveland. His most recent positionwas a program and office manager for the Akron branch of BSquare Corporation of Seattle. John was an active member of St. Joseph Church in Amherst for twenty-three years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and summer gardening. John was an avid Cleveland Sports fan, and enjoyed spending Sundays with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Kim Prosak (nee Larson); his sons and their wives Steve and lisa Prosak of Lorain, and Ben and Jackalyn Prosak of Sheffield Lake; his daughter and her husband Ann-Marie and Matt Butler of Elyria, and Aimee at home; and his grandchildren Karina Prosak 4, Tyler Prosak, 14 months; and Sophia Butler, 4 months. Additional survivous include John's parents Edward and Angeline Prosak (nee Braleski) of Lorain; his brothers and their wives Alan and Donalyn Prosak of Medina, and Deacon Jim and Cheryl Prosak of Dandridge, Tennessee; sister and husband Nancy and Jim Coller of Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Noreen Paffumi of Medina.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Gregory and Veronica Prosak; maternal grandparents Alex and Pauline Braleski.
