Arthur Elijah Albert, a retired truck and bus driver, died Dec. 15 of a heart attack at his daughter's home in Los Angeles. He was 69. Mr. Albert was born in Algiers and lived in Los Angeles for the past 32 years. He attended L.B. Landry High School. He was a deacon at St. Joseph Divine Spiritual Church in Algiers. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda A. Johnson and Glynis A. Albright, both of Los Angeles, and Beverlyn A. Williams of Marrero; two brothers, Raymond Albert of Victorville, Calif., and Lawrence Albert; two sisters, Mary A. Burrell and Ophelia A. Tucker; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A funeral was held Dec. 22 at Bethlehem Church of Christ Holiness in Los Angeles. Burial was in Angeles Abbey Memorial Park in Compton, Calif. Murray Henderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
