The family came to America in 1890, living first in the Leaf Valley community, and later moved to Miltona township. Frank was confirmed in st. Paul's Lutheran church, West Miltona, in 1902.
On November 18, 1920 he was united in marriage to Rachel Thurke, moving on the farm. Besides farming, frank enjoyed carpentry work and the mechanics of wood sawing and threshing.
Mr. Ziesemer died suddenly at his home February 2, 1968. Survivors include his widow, Rachel Ziesemer, and two children: William of Charter Oak, Iowa and Janice (Mrs. Sheldon Wester) of Alexandria. Also surviving are one brother and five sisters: Richard Ziesemer of Alexandria, Frances (Mrs. Richard Hertwig) and Olga Ziesemer, both of Miltona, Helen (Mrs. Grover Abel) and Frieda (Mrs. Alfred Diedrich) both of Alexandria, and Tillie (Mrs. Alfred Laske) of Menasha, Wisconsin. He is survived also by seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services were held February 6, 1968 from St. Pal's Lutheran church, Miltona township. Rev. Karl F. Lassanske officiated. Casket bearers were; Clarence Nyberg, Jr., Ordell Krebs, Charles Bettermann, Larry Diedrich, Gilbert Ziesemer and Edlard Hertwig. Interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery.
