Wiley Mansel was the son of Robert J Mansel b:June 1842 in Pike County Alabama d: 1911 in Texas and Emma Laura Brooks b:ca 1854 in Pike County AL, d:ca 1882 in Leon County, Texas. After Laura's death, Wiley lived with his Aunt Mattie,and cared for her until her death.
Wiley was a brother to Margaret Mansell Jennings, Lucy Clara Mansell Jennings, Samuel Tildon Mansell, and Buleah M Mansell Allen.
In 1900 Wiley Mansell is found living in Leon, TX. He is living with George & Martha Brooks Hightower. Martha is the sister of Wiley's mother, Emma Laura. In 1910 he is age 26, still living with George & Martha and listed as adopted son. Also in the home is Sterling Brooks, age 86, widowed and listed F-I-L. In 1920 Wiley is married and living next door to George and Martha in Leon, TX. In 1930, Leon TX, Lillie is not in the home, son Henry is 14, two daughters, Jewell W. is 14 and Laurah A is 9 years old.
Uncle Wiley was living at Route 3, Normangee when he passed away in Bilsing Hospital and Clinic at the age of 80.
