My sister, Cheryl, was a gifted, intelligent, funny and talented young lady who loved to read, write, draw and listen to music. She excelled in school.
She had many friends and interests and was destined for success; however, her life was cut short when she was killed in an auto accident. The accident was caused by excessive speed and reckless driving on the part of the driver while on her way to school, only a month shy of her 16th birthday. She was looking forward to getting her driver's license, attending her first prom and visiting colleges to decide where she would study. She had a keen interest in science and mathematics, and intended to pursue a STEM-related field.
