Oddie W. Truesdale, 78, of Route 3, Box 508, died at Muscatine General Hospital on Sunday, April 19.

Burial will be at the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery; Pallbearers will be Bill Gorham, Keith Gorham, Curt Noble, Doug McDonald, Bob Gorham, Dave Dvorak and Al Davis.

He was born to Palistine and Nuffie Brewer Truesdale on Jan. 25, 1914, in Fairport. He was a
lifelong area resident. He married Velma McKillip on March 29, 1943 in Muscatine. He retired in 1978
from Davenport Cement Company after 33 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife, Velma, at home; two sons, Virgil Truesdale and Jerry Truesdale both of Fairport; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Janet ) Hipshur of Muscatine and Mrs. James (Barbara) Ash of Tipton; two grandsons; nine step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; three half brothers, George Creamer, Alfred Creamer, and Frank Creamer, all of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; three brothers; one sister; one half
sister; and one half brother.
