She married Cyrus West Field on 2 December 1840 in Guilford, Connecticut by whom she had seven children. Cyrus became famous for his work in spearheading the first transatlantic telegraph cable.
The portrait of her is a chalk work and was donated to the Irvington, New York Historical Society by her descendants.
