Edith Laverne Nigar, 76, of Clyde, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at a local hospital.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Southside Baptist Church with Brother Billy Sellers officiating. Burial followed in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Nigar was born March 1, 1931 in Roscoe to Levi and Eula (Long) Bennett. She attended schools at Cottonwood and Cross Plains. She married Eddie Nigar on April 17, 1948 in Baird. They moved to Clyde from May in 1963. Mrs. Nigar was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie of Clyde; three sons, Eddie Nigar of Sequin, Mike Nigar and wife, Kelly of Cyde, and Donnie Nigar of Clyde; three daughters, Vicki Stephens and husband, Dalton of Oatmeal, TX, Kathy Buster and husband, Eddie of North Richland Hills, and Sandra Buster and Ronald of Clyde; three brothers, Weldon Bennett of Lake Brownwood, Billy Bennett of Rockport and Jerry Bennett of Abilene; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Torricelli; one sister, Glenda Strange; one brother, Dee Bennett; and two grandsons, Joseph Wayne and Steven Stanley Buster.
