Robert Thomas Tash in served as a Captain in the Army Air Forces Bomb Command in World War II. He earned the Bronze Star and was killed on a B-29 Super Fortress training mission in Guam just days after the Japanese surrender.

He was survived by his wife Mary Nicoll Tash, daughter Mary (Mimi) Tash and his parents, Elmer and Grace Tash, of Oxnard CA.
