Rites Held for John Garrett
Funeral services for John Elmer Garrett, 66 were held Jan. 26 in Bahner-Fox chapel with Rev. Jim House officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery with Bahner-Fox Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Troy Pickens, Jimmie Primrose, Randy Moore, Buck Wilson, Charles Ayers and Pete Pullen.
Garrett was born June 7, 1911, at Glen Rose, Tex. He died Jan. 24 at Pauls Valley General hospital after a lengthy illness.
He had been a resident of Davis for the past four years.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy Henderson of Wynnewood; two sons, Eugene Garrett of Wynnewood and John Wayne Garret; one sister, Mrs. Lola Boyce of Marlow; one brother, Homer Garrett of Eugene, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. One son, David Garrett died in 1962.
