The funeral for Donald J. Parks, 80, Route 26, formerly of DePeyster, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Foxwood Memorial Park , Ogdensburg.
Mr. Parks died Thursday at Lewis County General Hospital.
Mr. Parks owned and operated a dairy farm in DePeyster from 1945 to 1970. After retiring, he moved to DeKalb, where he enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a men's bowling league and the Skirts & Flirts and The Maple City Swingers square dance groups.
Born July 4, 1925, in DeKalb Junction, son of Fred W. and Frances Hayes Parks , he attended grade school in DeKalb Junction and graduated from Heuvelton Central School.
He married Betty L. Billings on Sept. 1, 1945, in Richville.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, a daughter, a sister, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
