DEATH CLAIMS REV. REICHLIN
Dies in Hospital Late This Afternoon
Rev. Charles Reichlin, 65, pastor of St. Joseph's church and dean of Catholic priests in Lorain-co, died in St. Joseph's hospital after a short illness of pneumonia.
Rev. Reichlin died on the eve of construction of a new church and school, his ambition of the past 20 years.
Rt. Rev. Joseph Schrembs, bishop of the Cleveland diocese, and Msgr. F. J. McFadden, Cleveland were at the bedside when he died.
The pastor was taken to the hospital early in the week. His condition grew steadily worse and hopes of his recovery were given up this morning.
Fainted at Alter
Rev. Reichlin fainted at the alter while saying mass Monday morning.
Rev. Reichlin was pastor of St. Joseph's church for more than 30 years. He would have been 66 Monday. The building project which he had outlined was to cost approximately $250,000.
Among the survivors are three brothers, Martin, of Lorain; Zeno, of Cleveland, and Leonard, in Switzerland. He was preceded in death by his brother Casimir in 1920
