Joyce M. LeGault Novak, 70, of 601 Park View Rise, died Thursday in Claxton- Hepburn Medical Center.
Born Aug. 24, 1931, in Ogdensburg, daughter of John and Edna Lesperance LeGault, she attended Ogdensburg Free Academy.
A marriage to Willard C. Besaw ended in divorce.
She worked for the former Peterson Nursing Home, Canton, and at Canton Agricultural and Technical College in food service, and was a waitress at Sergi's and the Cascade Restaurant, both in Canton.
She enjoyed singing, fishing and cooking.
Surviving are her fiance, three sons, a daughter, four sisters, a brother, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the New Life Assembly of God, Park Street, with the Rev. Phillip A. Caruso officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
