Mabel "Pat" Murphy, 94, United Helpers Nursing Home, formerly of Riverview Towers, died Wednesday in Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center.
Mrs. Murphy worked at Iroquois (Ontario) Linen Mill before her marriage and had since been a homemaker.
She had lived in Ogdensburg since 1945, including eight years spent on Caroline Street and at Riverview Towers from 1978 to 1985. She then spent four years, from 1985 to 1989, at United Helpers Canton Nursing Home before entering the nursing home in Ogdensburg.
Born Feb. 7, 1910, in Cardinal, Ontario, daughter of James L. and Mabel Baldwin Robinson, she married Emmett F. Murphy on Oct. 2, 1945, in Ogdensburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Dando officiating. Mr. Murphy died June 4, 1984.
Surviving are a daughter, two grandsons, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Three sisters, Violet Cuthbert, Wilda Shanahan and Iris Hagen, and two brothers, Wesley and Herbert Robinson, died before her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Foxwood Memorial Park Chapel with the Rev. Bernard W. Fortune officiating.
