Mark A. Munro, 38, of 527 State St., died Monday evening at the home of his father, with whom he resided since becoming ill. He had been ill with cancer since Dec. 20.
Mr. Munro first worked at Hunt Country Furniture Store, Wingdale, and then became an auto body mechanic in Dover Plains. He then worked at the Foundation for Christian Living, Pawling, and later at Westchester Modular Homes, Wingdale.
In 1987, he moved to Ogdensburg, and was a sheet metal worker at ESB Enterprises. He also participated in relief services during the January 1998 ice storm.
Born July 2, 1961, in New Milford, Conn., son of Robert and Dorothy Ann Breen Munro, he was a graduate of Dover Junior-Senior High School, Wingdale.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed skiing and all-terrain vehicle riding. He was member of Sheet Metal Workers International Local 58, Syracuse.
Surviving besides his father are a sister, a brother, twin niece and nephew, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
His mother died Dec. 23, 1995.
The funeral was Wednesday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home with the Rev. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial was Friday at Foxwood Memorial Park.
