Mr. Herrington was a retired contractor.
Survivors include wife, Charlotte Herrington of Mt. Olive, 1 son, John Daniel Herrington, Jr. of Jackson, 2 Sisters Velma Ritchie of Mobile, Ala. and Eva Magee of Magee; 3 grandsons and 2 great grandchildren. A number of nieces and nephews.
Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge of arrangements.
