Services for Gus J. Beevers, 94, of Ruidoso, N.M., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth with the Rev. Eddie Marcum officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
He died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, in Ruidoso, N.M.
He was born Dec. 8, 1905, in Rush Springs, Okla. He married Lucile Neal Loving on Oct. 25, 1930, in Clovis, N.M. She died May 3, 1996. He moved to Lubbock in 1934. He owned and operated Beevers Radiator Shop until 1952. Later, he owned and operated the Dutchman Shop in Carlisle until 1984. He moved to Ruidoso in 1992. During World War II he trained welders for the military. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wolfforth. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty and Lula; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include a son, Max of Ruidoso, N.M.; three daughters, Patsy Guillot of Ruidoso, Linda Thompson of Texas City and Judy Good of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Linnie Thomas of Tucumcari, N.M., and Dorothy Rose of Placerville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
