WILLIAM G. GROSHON, 83, Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday at Waynesboro Hospital after along illness. He was born in Creagerstown, a son of W. Casper and Alice Weddle Groshon. He had lived his early life in Frederick, and had lived in the Waynesboro area since 1903.
Prior to his retirement in 1954, he was last employed at Landis Machine Co. for 17 years. He was a member of Rouzersville United Methodist Church; member of Joppa Lodge F&A.M. of Pittsburg, Pa.; I.O.O.F. of Waynesboro; Waynesboro Fish and Game Assn.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Creager Groshon; daughters, Mrs. Marion R. Biesecker of Hillandale, Pa., Mrs. Elmer P. Metz of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, sister, Mrs. Phoebe Spangler of Washington, D. C.
Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home in Waynesboro. The Rev. Carl Peterson will officiate; burial in Harbaugh Church Cemetery.
