Walter J. Marlowe , 92, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Saturday at James Square Nursing Home, Syracuse.
Mr. Marlowe was a paper machine operator at Algonquin Paper Co. for 14 years and general foreman at Cleveland Container Corp. for 18 years. He was a gauge analyst in the laboratory at Carrier Corp., Syracuse, until his retirement in 1977 after 19 years of service.
Born Aug. 2, 1912, in Ogdensburg, son of Joseph and Mary Ellen Daniels Marlowe , he attended St. Peter's and Holy Cross schools and Ogdensburg Free Academy. He married Eila V. Ryan on March 4, 1930, at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. P.S. Garrand officiating. Mrs. Marlowe died March 2, 1991.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law.
A graveside service was at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Foxwood Memorial Park with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating.
