Son of the late Boleslaw and Josephine Plosinski Gnas. Mr. Gnas had been a resident of Beaver since 1954 and was formerly of Beaver Falls. He was a retired operator for Crucible Steel Company (Colt Industries), Midland, had regularly attended the Crucible Retirees breakfast, and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Beaver. He was a Steelers fan, a former scout leader, a devoted father and an Army veteran serving in World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Monica Gnas, on July 5, 2000.
Surviving him are two sons and their wives; a daughter; four grandchildren, and a sister, Henrietta Podbielski.
