Beverly Ann Brewer, 73, of Show Low died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in Tempe. She was born Jan. 31, 1935, in Harvard, Ill., the daughter of Clarence and Luella (Meyers) Knaack.
She was raised and attended school in Delavan, Wis., graduating from Delavan High School in 1953. She married Ronald Gerkin Aug. 1, 1953, in Delavan.
She came to Arizona in 1958, and married Harold V. Thompson Jr. in Tempe in September 1958. She was a homemaker who enjoyed making her children's clothes.
She moved to Pinetop in 1971, where she managed LaUltima Boutique. She married Gilbert Brewer Dec. 29, 1974, in Pinetop. Their marriage was sealed in the Arizona Temple Dec. 19, 1987. She later got her real estate license and after her retirement managed Everlasting Monument in Show Low.
She enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a Suns and Diamondbacks fan. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Show Low Stake Center.
Survivors include five daughters, Coleen Brown of Tucson, Lynn (Robert) Black of Holbrook, Michele (Gary) Thompson of Tacoma, Wash., Tricia (David) Merrill of Pinetop and Penny (Mark) Fromeyer of Tempe; three sons, Garnett (Lyn) Thompson of Springfield, Wis., Jeff (Tammy) Brewer of Linden and Dale (Gail) Thompson of Delavan, Wis.; and 23 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gilbert Brewer; son Randy Brewer; sister Sandra Tebo; granddaughter Paula Thompson; grandson Michael Paul Merrill; and great-granddaughter Alli Christiansen.
Viewing will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Show Low Stake Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the church with Bishop Marshall Pratt presiding. Burial will be at Show Low Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Mortuary, Show Low.
