"HORRIBLE DEATH - A man of the name of Alonzo B. Holcomb, of Leroy township,
Pennsylvania, was gored to death by his own bull on the 29th ult. He kept the
animal chained to a stake in a field on his farm, and on removing the stake to
another part of the field he was attacked by the bull and gored to death. So
furious was the assault of the animal that the man was literally torn piecemeal.
Not an article of clothing was found upon his person, except the wristband of
his shirt."
