Victim of Long Siege of Typhoid Had been Married but 15 Months.

The death of Mrs. Harley Follmer, at her home a mile west of Jasper, Friday, July 78, while not entirely unexpected was none the less a shock to the community. She had been ill with typhoid about 8 weeks. A baby was born a few days before her death. The child lived but two hours. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Rev. E. H. Sapp conducting the service. It was a beautiful and impressive service. The church was crowded, many standing throughout the hour.
The choir, composed of Mrs. Allen Peterson, Mrs. D. C. Houser, Mrs. Ollie Roberts, Miss Ora Wiseman and Messrs. G. P. Campbell, Will Bowers, Allen Peterson and A. F. Drake, sang "Death is only a Dream," and "Asleep in Jesus," and "Looking This Way." Mr. Sapp sang "Face to Face" by the request of Mrs. Follmer before she died. The pallbearers were E. L. Crawford, M. L. Arner, Frank Crow, Jay Good, Victor Metzger and the latter's brother. Burial was given at Mitchell Cemetery.
Beatrice Cather was born on a farm a few miles west of Jasper March 10, 1901, eldest child of J. E. Cather and wife. The family moved to Jasper in 1912 and about four years later went to Carthage, where they still live. Beatrice graduated with honor from Carthage High School in the class of 1920. She was married to Harley Follmer of Jasper April 30, 1921. She was a bright young woman, happy in the possession of many friends who loved her. Her death brings the deepest sorrow not only to her young husband and per parents and sisters and brother, but to a very large circle of other relatives and friends.
