Corporal Edward Carl Anderson was a member of G Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He was killed in action during Boulder City, the last battle fought by the Corps in the Korean War. He almost came home.

Corporal Anderson was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. He was interred 26 Apr 1955. Military ID#1205154.
