T.T. Geer's Daughter Dead—Mrs. Maude Bowles of Baker City, Passed Away After Brief Illness With Pneumonia.—Mrs. Maude Bowles of Baker City, daughter of ex-Governor Geer of this city, died at Baker City yesterday morning and the remains were taken through over the O.R. & N. last evening to Macleay, Marion county, where they will be interred beside her mother.
She was ill but a short time, Mr. Geer having been called to Baker City last Friday evening to attend her. The remains were accompanied to Macleay by her husband, Frank Bowles, a sister, Mrs. Cook of Medical Springs, and her father, T.T. Geer.
She was 36 years of age, having been born in Cove, Union county, in 1871, but moved with her parents to Waldo Hills, Marion county, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Frank Bowles, a prominent mining man of Baker City, in 1903. Beside her husband and father she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Cook of Medical Springs, Union county, and Mrs. Theodore Little of San Francisco, and a brother, Fred Geer, who is an express messenger on the Southern Pacific out of Portland.
