George Wilson Butrum, 67, of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 28, 1942, in Sikeston, Mo., he was the son of the late Marion Lee and Lola Marie Marchbanks Butrum.
On Jan. 3, 1972, in Charleston, Mo., he married Margaret Massey, who survives.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Butrum, of Cardwell; one son, Johnny Butrum, of Cardwell; three brothers, Marvin Butrum, of Sikeston, Commadore "Corky" Butrum, of Bertrand, Mo., and Gary Lloyd Butrum, of Leopold, Mo.; four sisters, Lola Christine Averitt, of Farmington, Mo., Kathleen Young, of Fisk, Mo., Carolyn Sue Kinder, of Morehouse, Mo., and Amelia Kay Renn, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Allen and John Alexander Butrum.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Mo.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, May 28, in the Cardwell Cemetery with Rev. David White officiating.
