Anton was born to Valentine and Anna Maria Hanck in Henry, Marshall County, Illinois. He moved to Lincoln Nebraska to a farm where he raised a family. Found newspaper article from the Lincoln State Journal dated Feb. 18, 1922 pg. 7 Farmer Burned to Death: Anton Hatzenbuehler meets death in burning barn on Farm Northwest of Lincoln. A son was in the field when he saw the flames at the barn and hurried to the rescue where he found his father lying on the floor. He dragged him from the burning building but life was extinct. He was 56 and had lived in Lancaster County for over 40 years,
