Mr. Wasper was a dedicated Senior Volunteer extraordinaire who devoted many years of his life in volunteer transportation and transporting food for seniors. He
received the outstanding Senior Citizen Award of the year in 1989. Howery was an ‘Unsung Hero' on May 4, 1952 on WLNS.
Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Delores; 2 daughters, May Ruth (Robert) Henzerling of Belen, N.M. and Connie Dison of Vista, CA; 1 son, Buddy (Gretchen) Wasper of Mason; 1 grandchild, 2 sisters, Osa (Donald) Leute and Alice (Lewis) Sprite, both of Lansing; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Friday, June 5, at Felt Plains Cemetery, Leslie.
