Charles Otis McDonald, 74, of Radford, passed away Sunday, December 24, 1995 in Greensboro, N.C.
He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Air Force. He was a retired Lynotype operator for the Greensboro News & Record and the Commonwealth Press in Radford on a part-time basis. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Radford.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian N. McDonald; two daughters, Mrs. Paula Joyce, Reidsville, N.C. and Mrs. Shirley Ball, Greensboro, N.C.; one son, Charles N. McDonald, Stokesdale, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bartley and Mrs. Christina Hopkins, both of Orange; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 1995 at Central United Methodist Church in Radford, with the Rev. Warren Wattenbarger officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
