Husband of Mary Ursula Sealy Baring, the daughter of Charles Sealy. They married on 13 September 1794 at Calcutta, India. He was the son of Sir Francis Baring, 1st Baronet of Larkbeer and Harriet Herring Baring. He was in the Honourable East India Company Service between 1790 and 1801 and a partner in Barings Brothers at London. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wycombe between 1806 and 1832. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet of Larkmeer, on 12 September 1810. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hampshire between June 1832 and December 1832. He was best known for his fine taste in art and his magnificent collection of pictures.
