Birth: Jul. 21, 1849
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: Mar. 5, 1924
Marshall County
West Virginia, USA

Mr. Bondy was the son of Ann M. and Jonathan Bondy. He joined Co H, 17th West Virginia Infantry for the Civil War, so he was probably living in West Virginia by the 1860s. About 1870, he married Cynthia "Ann" LeMasters, and they lived most of their lives in Moundsville, WV, and neighboring towns. He was a laborer, but it appears that his Civil War service had injured him, because he applied for and received an Invalid's Pension in 1885.

Jonathan and Cynthia had these children:

Carrie May Beveridge Hendricks
George Edward Bondy
Wiley or Wyley Bondy
Leona Bondy
Harry Bondy
