Dorse N. Tolle, 91, of Waverly, died Sunday, Nov 3, 1996, at home.
Born April 22, 1905, in adams County, a son of the late Noah and Nancy McClanahan Tolle, he was retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers, a member of Local Union 18 and Beavers Chapel Church and a founding member of the Pebble Township Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly Mahaffey Tolle, whom he married Nov. 13, 1934; a son, Dennis Tolle of Waverly; four daughters, Lois Colburn and Rita Jordan, both of Waverly, Alice Higginbotham of Blanchester and Bonnie Hougland of Peebles; a sister, Vina George of Wilmington; 17 Grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; ane a great-great-grandchild.
He also was preceded in death by eight brothers, Alva, Carrie, John, Herman, Charlie, Jess, Josie and Isaac Tolle; two sisters, Mollie and Minnie Barney; and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beavers Chapel Church, with the Rev. Roy Carver and the Rev Marlin Davis officiating, and interment in White Oak Cemetery.
Friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and at the church from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
