|Birth: ||Feb. 26, 1894, France|
|Death: ||Jan. 30, 1987|
She married Leonard F Johnson (1904-1984) on 20 Jan 1980.
From her son John:
Mama went from France to British Columbia as a governess to a well to do French family. As a condition of employment, they sent her to the University of Washington to continue her studies toward a degree in Education. She had taught in a French Normal School for girls (where she met the daughter of the family from British Columbia). It was at the University of Washington that she met her future husband.
From a granddaughter:
My favorite memory of Grandma is her stories at the dinner table. My favorite story was when she used to climb a gate or a tree an throw apples at the police officers. My other favorite story is when she was a young girl in school. The nuns told her to stop playing with a rubber ball. She, of course, didn't listen. She was in the kitchen as the nuns were preparing breakfast. She bounced the ball one last time and lost it. At breakfast the nun next to her took a bite of her mush . . . and there was the rubber ball.
