ARLINGTON - Charles Otis LaBatt, 65, who died unexpectedly while shopping in West Arlington Friday night, was born in Danby Jan 12, 1903, a son of Francis and Lillian (Hawkins) LaBatt.
Mr. Labatt was a painter for John Moore of Arlington for 28 years. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary's Church here and its Holy Name Society.
Survivors are his widow, Irene; two sons, Earl LaBatt of Arlington and Edward LaBatt of Danby; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Etue of El Capon, Calif., and Mrs. Clifford Hoffman of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Francis LaBatt of Adams, Mass., and Claude LaBatt of Gardner, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Carl Frost of Panama City, Fla.; eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held this morning in St. Margaret Mary's Church with Father Gerald C. Buckley, pastor, officiating. Entombment was in St. Columban's Cemetery in Arlington with burial to be there in the spring.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Arlington.
