Mr. James T. Cole, 75, of Hendersonville, N.C., and formerly of Boyds, died Wednesday Jan. 28, 2009.

He was the loving husband of Gale M. Cole.

Born May 15, 1933, in Boyds, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bertha Oden Cole.

Surviving besides his wife is one sister, June Houseknecht; two brothers, Charles and Robert Cole; nephews, Rick Houseknecht, Ed, Thomas, Philip, Danny and Christopher Cole; nieces, Susan Derr, Patricia Tracey, Diane Grimes and Michelle Cole; four grand-nephews; and six grand-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Cole.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917 Barnesville Road, Barnesville. A viewing will be held one hour prior.

Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Barnesville Baptist Church or the Middletown Valley Seventh- Day Adventist Church.
