Thursday, May 22, 1969

BEAKLER - Ted M. Beakler, son of Jeremiah and Sarah McCullough Beakler, was born February 4, 1898 near Humeston, and passed away April 30, 1969 at Lucas County Memorial Hospital in Chariton, at the age of 71 years, two months and 26 days.

Ted spent his life farming in southern Iowa except for two years spent in the West, the last 30 years were spent in Pleasant township.

He is survived by his wife, Olive of Russell; four sons, Harold of Anchorage, Alaska; Roy of Globe, Arizona; Marvin of Norwalk; and David at home; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maude in 1950, his parents and four sisters.

Services were conducted by the Rev. L. W. Mendenhall at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 1969 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in Zion Cemetery.
