2. James M. Harris, born September 18, 1783. He was married to Frances Farrar in 1808, who was born September 26, 1786, and died November 14, 1850. James M. Harris died February 18, 1857; he was at one time a ruling elder in Unity Church. Their remains lie in the cemetery at Fort Mill,York County S.C. in Old Unity Cemetery.

born October 29, 1809 died August 29, 1862, married Martha Carothers; they had four children:
b.Sarah F.Harris, born October 24, 1810. She married Alfred Hutchison.
c.Alfred Leroy Harris
b October 10, 1812 died March 9, 1830
d.Jane McCaule Harris, b 2 May 1814 in York Dist, SC. married Hugh Clark Harris, (b. NC)a grandson of Captain John Harris.
e.James Wallace Harris
b May 2, 1814, married Miss Bromfield, and was killed July 20, 1838.
f.Stanhope Harris
born August 9, 1818/died May 10, 1890. He married twice: 1st: Martha Rebecca McCullough, ( b 30 Dec 1821/d 13 Apr 1860) on December 22, 1840.
g.Mary Harris
b June 18, 1820/d December 22, 1859; married William Simril of York County, S. C.
h.Robert P. Harris born January 17, 1823/died in early manhood.
i.Margaret E. Harris, born March 20, 1825/d March 3, 1852; married Franklin Carothers, of York County, S.C.
j.Rebecca Addie Harris, b January 31, 1831/d August 6,1874. She married Oliver R. Perry, M. D., August 7, 1851. Dr. Perry died in 1858, and Rebecca Addie was left with four children, all too young to realize their loss.
