Death of John Ray. John Ray, a respected citizen of Blaine, Davis county, died Thursday evening at the age of 67, after a lingering illness brought on by an attack of typhoid fever. The deceased had been a resident of Blaine for about 12 years and lived for many years at Coalville in Summit county. Mr. Ray was born in Barnsley, Yorkshire, and emigrated to Utah in 1872. He leaves a wife and seven children. The funeral services occur today at 10 a. m. in the Blaine meeting house. Interment will be in Ogden cemetery.

John Ray, sr., one of our good citizens died last Thursday evening, Sept. 15th, and the funeral services were held in the meeting house on Saturday. The speakers were Elders John Knowls, George stark, John Allen, counselor Harbertson and Bishop Kendell. The remains were taken to Ogden cemetery for burial. Deceased was sick ten weeks with typhoid fever. He leaves a wife and seven children and some grandchildren also a lot of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
