Miss Anna Nickle,67, died on Friday, December 28, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bruno Duwe in Delta, where she had lived for more than 20 years.
Miss Nickle was born near what Cheer on June 6, 1884, and was a daughter of Frederick and Henrietta Schultz Nickle. When she was 14 years old she became a member of the German Evangelical church in Sigourney, now Saint Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church, and retained her membership there all her life.
In earlier years she was a teacher in the public schools of the county.
Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bruno Duwe of Delta, Mrs. Lena Schimmelpfenning of Fairfield, and Mrs. Hulda Rice of Newton, and one brother, Theodore Nickle of Sigourney.
The funeral service was held at the Delta Methodist church on Sunday, December 30, with the Rev. J.A. Worrell, pastor, in charge, assisted by the Rev. Ernest Molloy, pastor of the Delta Christian church. Interment was in the Highland cemetery near What Cheer.
