She was born on July 17, 1916 on the family farm of her parents, Frank and Ida Alex. She graduated from Forest Lake High School in 1934 and earned her beautician's license a year later. She married Frank Peterson in 1937.
She was preceded in death by Frank; son-in-law, Jim and sister, Doris. She is survived by a daughter, LouAnn, and son, Dale (Cheryl) and grandchildren; Jon (Nancy), Joy (Steve), Jeffrey (HaeKyong), Angela (Artan), Laura (Nick), and David (Megan); great-grandchildren, Rachel, Eli, Hana, Sara, Nolan, Adrian and Elise Ruby and sisters, Norma, Elaine, and Millie.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Sunday, March 27 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City. Visitation one hour preceding the service.
