Funeral services for Lois Allen, age 85, of Delhi, Louisiana will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Newton Baptist Church, Delhi, Louisiana with Rev. Roger Johnston and Rev. Charles Best officiating. Interment will be in the Newton Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Visitation will be Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Sr.; son, Thomas E. Allen; granddaughter, Theresa Bailey; parents, Earnest Clifton Sheppard and Walter Mae Walters; son-in-law, Robert Allen.
Lois is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Calvin Allen and Hope Allen of Vicksburg, Mississippi; daughter and son-in-law, Thelma Callaway and Thomas Callaway of Delhi, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, James Allen and Nancy Allen of Vicksburg, Mississippi; daughter, Mary Nell Hale of Greenwood, Mississippi; 2 brothers, Huey Walters of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Duey Walters of Natchez, Mississippi; 10 grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
