LAYTON -- Jesse Lee Tucker, age 86, our loving father, grandfather, and brother, left this earth to join his eternal sweetheart of 60 years.

He passed away on March 21, 2000 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a valiant battle with cancer.


Jesse was born on August 21, 1913 in Elmo, UT, a son of Worth and Florence Abby Pulsipher Tucker.

He married Mable Reid on Nov. 6, 1933 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Jesse was an active member of The LDS Church and served in many positions.

He served as a temple worker with his wife in the Ogden Temple.

He also served in the Holbrook Arizona Mission with his wife.

Jesse is survived by his three sons and one daughter: Lee (Lucy) Tucker of West Valley; Charles (Hanako) Tucker of Murray; Therril (Caren) Tucker of Aurora Colorado; Sharon (Eddie) Schocknmyer of Layton; 17 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Andrew C. Tucker, Wesley J. Tucker, and Cleon D. Tucker.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife; his parents; three brothers; three sisters; and one great-grandson, Kyle Therril Tucker.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2000 at the Layton Utah East Stake Center, 1015 North Emerald, where friends and family may call on Friday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and on Sat. one hour prior to the services. Arrangements by Alternative Society of Utah.

Interment, Eastlawn Memorial Park, 4800 N. 650 E., Provo, Utah.
